At Taigh nan Eilean autumn and winter evenings are a time to relax by the peat fire, enjoy good company and savour a fine Malt Whisky, our treat! Daytimes are peaceful, you will never tire of the ever changing views. Watch the sunlight play on the surrounding mountains, watch the white horses racing across Loch Roag, or maybe go for a leisurely stroll on deserted sandy beach.

There is a crispness in the air, no crowds, queues, or traffic polution here, just a timeless cycle of seasons. Far removed from the stress and worry of modern times, but not modern comforts.

Don't you deserve to take a break, time out? Uig is a year round destination for those who enjoy a quiet relaxed retreat away from the bustle of modern living. However there's always something for those who look for a little adventure, to try something differen, even in the winter months.

Take a short break from the wider world; You can! The Isle of Lewis and Stornoway airport are only an hour from Scotlands International airports. A shuttle service operates from Glasgow to London and cheap fares are available from most large UK airports to Glasgow, Edinburgh and even Inverness.
